We are seeking Millwright Journeyman at our Thilmany Mill in Kaukauna.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks such as: lubrication of machinery, bearing and seal replacements, roll changes, and cleaning of parts during overhauls and preventative maintenance routes
• Assist with installing, maintaining, upgrading, and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings
• Understanding of and ability to change: spherical and tapered roller bearings, power transmission belts, roller chains, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, electric motors, gearboxes and centrifugal pumps.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping, and steam systems, overhead hoists and cranes

Requirements

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Qualified candidates will need to have a Journeyman Millwright card
• Ability to successfully pass a post-offer background check, drug screen and physical assessment
• Highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays once required training and certification is complete - Any maintenance employee can be assigned on a rotating shift basis based on seniority. Assignments will be consistent with the need to provide the necessary maintenance services to assure reliable plant operation. If shifts are fully staffed, then laborers work on a day shift assignment.
• Must follow Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
• Physical Requirements include:
• Perform heavy work, defined as lifting 100 lb. maximum with help, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Perform work while wearing a supplied air respirator (dependent on department)
• Work around fast-moving machinery
• Work at heights
• Drive a lift-truck type vehicle and operate hoists
• Work in a hot and humid environment
