Responsible for managing portfolio of Filtration product development projects within the business unit for US. Manage the product development resources to guide successful Project Management activities utilizing the formal stage-and-gate process. Work closely with Product Managers to ensure product development activities are aligned with Product strategies. Interact closely with sales team to support and manage customer project portfolio. Guide efforts with sourcing teams to manage raw material strategy and supplier relations.

About the Opportunity:

Essential Function and Main Responsibilities:
- Key contact within product development, linking market information and customer
- needs/requests to concrete product development and improvement actions and projects.
- Participation and active contribution to strategic product portfolio development.
- Implementation of product development projects in a timely manner.
- Resourcing of product development projects.
- Management of the USA product development project portfolio of the Filtration business
- unit to ensure alignment with the strategy and a proper balance of long-term versus short-
- term projects.
- Interact and coordinate closely with Product Managers and Sales to ensure priorities and
- focus of PD team align with product strategies.
- Leadership of product development team to ensure proper resourcing and management of
- projects, process and tools development and implementation, skills development and active
- sharing of best practices and knowledge.
- Follow-up on technology development and actively propose opportunities for development.
- Interact with and support the global PD teams as necessary.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years product development and supervisory experience. Filtration background preferred;
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- Preferably a background in product development in the Filtration Industry, i.e., industrial, transportation, air, liquid, specialty, etc.
- Solid understanding of the technologies within these businesses inside / outside the company.
- Proven track record of project portfolio management in product development.
- Proven ability to manage multidiscipline teams and to deliver results through the utilization of a matrix organization.
- Business thinking aptitude including customer and market orientation and experience of joint development projects with customers.
- Financial knowledge and professional skills to manage projects under agreed budgets.
- Fluency in English, working knowledge in other languages desirable.
- Able to maintain and build close and effective relationships at various levels of organization, networking skills inside / outside of the company.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, leadership and communications skills.
- Willingness to travel. Domestic and occasional international travel.
