Purpose of the job
Leads the production demand planning team at Windsor Locks site to ensure that customer needs and business objectives are meet through proper planning and scheduling of the manufacturing assets at Windsor Locks.
Main responsibility areas
- Leads demand planning team and is responsible for performance management of demand planners.
- Support plant manager and the area managers in the development of the utilization plan of each to the manufacturing assets.
- Collaborate with cross function (and intercompany) to determine capability and available capacity for new demand/product.
- Participates in Annual Planning for capacity.
- Prioritizes orders and trials to resolve scheduling and capacity conflicts on individual machines at Windsor Locks.
- Coordinates Windsor Locks activities with other Ahlstrom Plants. Both inside and outside of Medical BU.
- Represents Windsor Locks planning in BU level processes such as S&OP and Sales tactical calls.
- Creates new production grades for Windsor Locks

Experience and education
(minimum level of knowledge and skills to fulfill one’s responsibilities)
Work experience
- Prior experience as a demand and supply planner
Formal education
Master’s degree, pulp/paper science, engineering, finance or business, preferred
Bachelor’s degree, required
