Overview
This position has the responsibility for the coding and abstracting of records including, but not limited to, Emergency Department visits, ambulatory surgeries, short stays and referred outpatients, Inpatient charts.

Qualifications
- Professional licensure in a clinical discipline may also be considered when combined with eligibility to sit for RHIA, RHIT or CCS certification.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4 and HCPCS coding conventions and reimbursement rules.
- Associate degree in Health Information Administration preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and keyboarding skills
Licenses/Certifications
- CCS or CCS-P certification required or must sit for and pass the national exam within 12-months of job entry.
