Role Summary
The Long Term Care Staff Development Educator is a key member of the AHMC Healthcare team responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of all Long Term Care personnel.
This role ensures that orientation, certification, and inservice programs are conducted in accordance with facility policy and procedure, as well as state and federal regulations.

- Meet the state qualifications for teaching an approved nurse assistant training program.
Requirements
Credentials and Qualifications
- Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
- Director of Staff Development Certification or must be certified within three months of hire.
Work Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in a long term care environment.
- Possess one year of experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
Additional Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate leadership ability and a willingness to collaborate with others.
- Excellent reading, verbal, and written communication skills are essential, along with good guest relations skills.
- Possess knowledge of nursing skills and practices.
