About the Role
The Senior Director of Financial Operations will provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the financial health and stability of AHMC Healthcare. This individual will oversee the development and implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reports and analyses
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards
- Collaborate with senior leaders to establish and achieve financial goals, including revenue growth, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Serve as a financial expert, providing guidance and support to facility leaders and other stakeholders on financial matters
- Oversee the development and maintenance of financial systems, including accounting, reporting, and analytics
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, promoting the use of actionable data to inform business decisions
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of federal, state, and managed care reimbursement methodologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard corporate assets, monitoring overhead expenditures and analyzing variances
- Assist facilities leaders in monitoring budgets to ensure consistency with labor and expenses within approved limits
- Collaborate with auditors and CPAs to prepare and provide requested information in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred
- 5 years of progressively responsible corporate finance experience, preferably in an acute healthcare environment at a management level
- 3 years working with external auditors, private equity investors, bankers, consultants, etc.
- Knowledge and thorough understanding of insurance, managed care contracting principles and practices
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent human relations, communication, and critical thinking skills
