Overview
The Demand Systems Manager will lead the Super User group to ensure that Forecasting and Replenishment tools and processes are aligned with both Brand and Company strategies, fostering consistency across the organization to maximize performance and optimize efficiency. This position entails direct management of the relationship with our software provider, Relex, overseeing product workflows to enhance user experience and increase automation rates throughout the network.
The Demand Systems Manager will frequently collaborate with Senior Retail, Supply Chain, and CMP leadership, providing data-driven recommendations to continually enhance business outcomes. Additionally, this role will be responsible for financial budgeting and planning for system enhancements in close partnership with Finance and IT senior leadership.
***Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME

Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead a team of system owners, experts, and resources to manage and leverage demand planning capabilities within the F&R System for all Ahold Delhaize US entities.
- Coach, develop, and mentor the Super User team to enhance collaboration with business partners addressing complex needs and shifting demands.
- Recruit, motivate, and direct staff, maximizing contributions and professional growth to achieve business goals.
- System Oversight & Improvement:
- Drive system testing, maintenance, workflows, enhancements, and developments through the Super User team to ensure alignment with inventory strategy across Supply Chain and Brands.
- Serve as the primary consultant for In Stock leads, Control Tower leadership, and other senior stakeholders on system performance, user experience, and complex problem resolution.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, communicating the team's effectiveness in achieving key performance indicators to senior management.
- Strategic Planning & Communication:
- Build and execute strategies for system rollouts, communications, and training in partnership with stakeholders.
- Develop presentations to communicate meaningful results, trends, and insights regarding Relex system performance.
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Project Guidance:
- Guide strategic projects and partner in cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert in the F&R system.
- Drive the product development roadmap with software providers and influence internal IT development to align with system priorities and enhancements.
- Data-Driven Insights & Recommendations:
- Translate user performance data into actionable insights for senior leaders, promoting effective exception-based management and system automations.
- Business Continuity & Support:
- Coordinate brand interactions related to disaster response, store openings and closings, and provide 24-hour support for IT incidents requiring business representation.
- Accountability & Collaboration:
- Manage Super Users' knowledge of the impact of decisions on overall supply chain operations and costs.

Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, math, statistics, or similar field required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience required.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Previous team and project leadership experience preferred.
- Supervisory and leadership skills, demonstrating "leading others" behaviors.
- Highly collaborative with proven experience in partnership, influence, and negotiation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive-level presentation capabilities.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of Relex and seasoned understanding of industry practices, particularly in grocery retail supply chains.
- Proficient in Six-Sigma Process Improvement Methodology and expert in statistical methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of industry forecasting and replenishment processes and methods.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and ERP integration; competence in software development and SQL coding.
- Strategic Planning & Analysis:
- Ability to strategically plan business initiatives and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong financial, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, distilling complicated data into actionable recommendations.
