Primary Purpose
ADUSA Visual Designers are responsible for developing compelling content and creative assets for our online and offline communication channels including web content, email, direct mail, in-tote flyers, landing pages etc. Our visual designers work with teams across many functions - software & web development, UI/UX, Marketing, ADUSA Interactive, Merchandising - to create visually stunning and persuasive materials to support the broader business goals. Graphic Designers work closely with Creative Services and other key stakeholders to ideate, design, and produce required content and communication materials with a consistent and visually appealing Brand presence. As the reputation and value of the Design team has grown, Visual Designers will also be expected to aid in creating communication materials for in-house use (e.g. employee communications, executive presentations for external audiences).
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, and Hyattsville, MD.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to translate user needs and business goals into actionable designs and engaging content.
- Plan, design, and execute concepts for promotions and campaigns to be used throughout the website and in offline channels as required.
- Work with UX Designers, Business Analysts and Developers to develop and iterate a visual design that exceeds goals of each project.
- Create compelling and integrated designs under strict deadlines and tight turnarounds.
- Effectively manage the logistics of day-to-day projects so that they are on-time and on strategy.
- Present work at internal creative reviews with strong rationale.
- Brainstorm and develop concepts for larger campaign initiatives.
- Recommend and implement updates to the design style guide to ensure delivery of consistent, on-brand design principles across all channels and categories.
- Maintain JIRA system expertise, providing guidance to other business users as needed.
- Research best practices for design and develop a point of view as to relevancy and application for ADUSA.
- Partner with Creative Services Lead to design and implement on-going A/B testing and consolidate test results; summarize and cascade insights to broader team to improve in-house, institutional knowledge.
- Share subject matter expertise with the broader team via formal and informal means to help drive a mindset of 'design matters'.
- Maintain knowledge of any relevant legal or regulatory policies.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years in design in a professional setting, with a preference for experience in online design; Experience in creating visual design for Websites and Web applications; Experience with content management systems a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Design or equivalent
- Professional-level design software proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.); Basic understanding of web design tools including HTML, DHTML, CSS/CSSX
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
