Description :
The Financial Analyst reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and plays an important role in supporting multiple departments across the business in all financial matters relating to the forecast and planning process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Update forecasting models for both internal management use and external investor guidance purposes. Forecasting tools will include income statements, balance sheets, and cash projections on both a cash and GAAP basis.
- Consolidate data and extract relevant information that will help support business decisions.
- Work cooperatively with members of our asset management, development, and construction teams to gather data on a monthly basis necessary to populate the forecasting models.
- Act as the team lead on the quarterly earnings process by creating supplemental reporting packages for research analyst and investor use. Such packages will include both summary and detailed statistics on portfolio properties as well as quarterly and annual financial results.
- Assist in implementing in-house property forecasts utilizing Yardi software.
- Proactively identify potential issues or areas of opportunities to further drive operational excellence.
- Work with asset management team to produce long-term projections for individual assets and ensure that these projections and consistent with managerial forecasting models.
- Interact in a professional manner with senior management team to report findings, analyze and explain significant changes, and identify issues proactively.
- Responsible for all facets of lender reporting including communication, tracking, covenant calculations and forecasting.
- Develops a wide range of presentations for executive management.
- Produce ad hoc financial analyses as requested by supervisor on development deals and portfolio properties as necessary to guide daily business decisions.
