AHRC NYC is looking to hire a Case Manager (Employment and Community Service Coordinator) to work with our Employment Business Services (EBS) Advance & Earn Program. The Advance & Earn program is an Internship program that prepares NYC Youth for a rewarding career. The Case Manager is expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, fellow providers, schools, training sites, employers, participants and their families, and staff. This person is responsible for meeting the requirements of all contracts to which he/she is assigned and to adhere to all compliance requirements.
Location: Manhattan, 10038 (with required travel to Staten Island every Friday for team meetings and trainings)
Salary: $38,000-$42,000 per year depending on education level plus low cost,comprehensive benefits package....see Benefit information below.

Essential Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all job seekers assigned, ensuring excellent customer service and supporting long-term success in employment.
- Provide coverage within the program in the event of staff absences, ensuring continuity of service.
- Counsel participants in both group and individual settings to support their employment goals.
- Ensure program compliance with New York State regulations, Department of Labor regulations, Federal guidelines, and the Workforce Investment Act, including parent meetings as necessary.
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, attending case conferences and staff meetings.
- Provide high-quality service to job seekers before and after job placement, coordinating with Account Executives and other EBS staff as needed.
- Establish and nurture relationships with community partners, coordinating outreach events to recruit new enrollees into the program.
- Lead Job Clubs and other pre-employment groups, addressing employment-related issues and preparing job seekers for the workforce.
- Conduct initial assessments of potential new enrollees, guiding them through the enrollment process alongside family members and other service providers.
- Perform the Discovery process for individuals, as required by the supervisor.
- Engage in Person-Centered practices, including Discovery, Community Engagement activities, and Customized Employment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Associates Degree required
- 2 years of working with opportunity youth (aged 18-24) preferred.
- Experience or strong capacity in instructing/mentoring program participants, with prior works exposure in teaching or training individuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants' families, employers, funding sources, Care Coordinators, and other stable holders.
- Ability to organize work of self and others, as well as work independently as needed.
- NYS Driver's License preferred.
