AHRC NYC is looking to hire anEmployment Support Coordinator (ESC)(also known asEmployment Skills Coordinator)for their Day Program inthe Bronx.
The ESC plays a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities by providing comprehensive training, evaluations, and counseling. This position focuses on facilitating skill development and enhancing job readiness for participants in both job sites and community settings. The expected outcomes for the role include enhancing participant employability through skill acquisition and effective work behaviors, as well as supporting successful job placements and long-term career growth.

Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm, with some flexibility for start and end times
Salary:$35,000 per year
PLEASE NOTE: This role will be performed out in the Community for the majority of the day.

Essential Responsibilities
- Establish individualized assessment and development plans focused on work skills and social behaviors for program participants.
- Travel to job sites and community locations to train, supervise, and evaluate participants in the skills training process.
- Maintain accurate and timely records for participants, ensuring compliance with funders’ and agency reporting requirements.
- Develop and nurture relationships with participants' families or guardians as appropriate.
- Report any employer-related issues to a program supervisor to maintain positive employer and community relationships.
- Perform related duties as assigned and attend required trainings and staff meetings.
- An bachelor's degree is required.
- One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
- Ability to counsel participants both individually and in groups and develop assessments and plans based on participants’ needs.
