Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in financial software. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing journal entries, among other essential tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing financial data and insights
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies
- Utilize financial software to streamline bookkeeping tasks and generate reports
- Collaborate with other departments to provide necessary financial information
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, corporate accounting, and bank reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with debits, credits, budgeting, and journal entries is essential
- Proficiency in financial software applications; experience with specific programs may be beneficial
- Understanding of GAAP principles is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
