Duties

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), and medical collection practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
- Manage medical records efficiently while adhering to confidentiality regulations.
- Perform follow-ups on outstanding claims and assist in the collection of overdue accounts.
- Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations that may affect billing practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards is essential.
- Experience with coding software or electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
