Position Summary:
Coordinate Certified Inspector inspection activities, line-side. Provide technical and troubleshooting support, line-side. Ensure daily inspection targets are met following certified inspection requirements.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing guidance and information to 200% inspectors to ensure daily inspection targets are met, standardized work is being followed, and part quality meets customer requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Effectively provides support for defect judgements and escalates as needed.
- Escalates quality concerns by issuance of internal corrective actions to responsible departments;
- Manages associate issues. Effectively utilizes TWI (Job Relation) training;
- Understands Ahresty Key Performance Indexes and KPI targets;
- Understands and implements kaizen activities using the PDCA Cycle to improve processes;
- Ensures associates properly fill out daily production reports and enters data into tracking sheet.
- Updates and signs off assigned SQDC Board.
- Supports movement of inbound and outbound dunnage prioritizing models based on shipment demand.
- Checks hour-by-hour results and ensures shift production targets are met and implements countermeasures when there are gaps in performance.
- Supports inspections to achieve output goals;
- Completes 1x per day in-depth lineside visual inspection of each line/part combination;
- Communicates with departments for containment of parts when needed;
- Complete work observations according to standards;
- Guide skill level development of inspectors.
- Aid in manpower allocation.
- Ensure Standard Operational Procedures are consistently applied, trained, and followed.
- Ensure associates adhere breaks, and lunch periods.
- Ensure 5S and cleanliness of work area
