QI 200% Inspection Coordinator

Quality Improvement 200% Inspection Coordinator – Reports directly to Quality Improvement Shift Leader.

Position Summary:  

Coordinate Certified Inspector inspection activities, line-side.  Provide technical and troubleshooting support, line-side. Ensure daily inspection targets are met following certified inspection requirements.

Scope of Responsibilities:  

Responsible for providing guidance and information to 200% inspectors to ensure daily inspection targets are met, standardized work is being followed, and part quality meets customer requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

1. Effectively provides support for defect judgements and escalates as needed.
2. Escalates quality concerns by issuance of internal corrective actions to responsible departments;
3. Manages associate issues. Effectively utilizes TWI (Job Relation) training;
4. Understands Ahresty Key Performance Indexes and KPI targets;
5. Understands and implements kaizen activities using the PDCA Cycle to improve processes;
6. Ensures associates properly fill out daily production reports and enters data into tracking sheet.
7. Updates and signs off assigned SQDC Board.
8. Supports movement of inbound and outbound dunnage prioritizing models based on shipment demand.
9. Checks hour-by-hour results and ensures shift production targets are met and implements countermeasures when there are gaps in performance.
10. Supports inspections to achieve output goals;
11. Completes 1x per day in-depth lineside visual inspection of each line/part combination;
12. Communicates with departments for containment of parts when needed;
13. Complete work observations according to standards;
14. Guide skill level development of inspectors.
15. Aid in manpower allocation.
16. Ensure Standard Operational Procedures are consistently applied, trained, and followed.
17. Ensure associates adhere breaks, and lunch periods.
18. Ensure 5S and cleanliness of work area
