Key Position Details: FT position (80 hours every two-week period) 8-hour, day shifts Waconia and Chaska locations Rooming for clinic visits including vital signs Chart preparation and review including requesting medical records Ordering supplies Job Description: Performs 24-48 hour holter test analysis, using Bio-Tel heart scanning system to include superimposing scanning, heart rate variability program, QT and pediatric programs. Prepares and monitors cardiac stress tests. Provides service to multiple facilities. Principle Responsibilities Analyses holter monitor data Provides fast and accurate scanning for in house (hospital) and multiple outreach facilities. Superimposes cardiac rhythms scans and creates detailed reports. Maintains knowledge of multiple cardiac rhythms. Prepares and monitors for cardiac stress test Uses proper skin prep and lead placement for each test. Documents heart rate and blood pressure during exercise. Removes leads from patient, and prepares them for discharge. Cleans equipment and restocks rooms. Communicates with patient Greets and prepares the patient for test, explaining actions. Responds to questions and other needs promptly. Ensures patient is in safe situation at all times. Participates in maintaining safe environment Cleans equipment using high level disinfection process. Uses equipment per department and manufacturer guidelines. Protects patient, self and others from injury by using proper equipment and body mechanics for transfers, lifts and transport. Communicates with supervisor and team Reports promptly concerns related to patient condition. Identifies issues with equipment and reports to appropriate resource. Communicates ideas and suggestions for process improvement. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Vocational or Technical Training/Education in EKG or related health care discipline Preferred Qualifications Coursework in Advanced EKG identification and EKG arrhythmia 1 year experience as EKG Technician or EKG Monitor Technician Licenses/Certifications Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross ◦ Allina in-house BLS training upon completion of orientation Physical Demands Light Work: Lifting weightUp to 20 lbs. occasionally, Up to 10 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $21.55 to $29.35 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range.
