The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the practice of Nursing by ensuring consistence in the standard of practice across the clinical settings. As a member of the executive team, the CNO supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care. This includes creating a nursing environment in which collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care and education is promoted and achieved. The CNO ensures the continued advancement of the profession of Nursing.
Responsibilities :
- Identifies and articulates the vision and strategic direction for the discipline of Nursing and collaborates on the implementation of strategies to achieve them.
- Plan, prepare, and implement capital and expense budgets in compliance with organization standards.
- Ensure that adequate and appropriate levels of supply inventory are available.
- Provides leadership and direction for the development of strategies to promote the recruitment, retention, and recognition of excellence in Nursing.
- Ensures the productive operations of all departments within area of responsibility.
- Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and services.
- Provides leadership in the establishment of credentialing / privileging policies for nurses and ensures compliance with such policies for nurses who practice.
- Identify, recommend and implement performance & quality improvement activities for the nursing departments.
- Oversees programs which support the nursing profession such as Clinical Ladders and the Nursing Internship Programs.
- Promotes and fosters a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, and the coordination of care among disciplines.
Requirements :
Salary : $175,000 - $250,000
