Job Summary:
Vista Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Imaging Services to oversee and lead our imaging department. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging services, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction for all imaging services, including radiology, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines.
Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial performance of the imaging department.
Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and workflow.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of imaging technologists and support staff, ensuring professional development and training.
Implement and maintain imaging technology, equipment, and software, coordinating maintenance and upgrades as needed.
Monitor quality assurance programs and patient safety initiatives to ensure the highest level of care.
Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making for imaging services growth and improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
ARRT certification or equivalent professional certification in imaging services.
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in an imaging or radiology department.
Strong knowledge of imaging technology, regulatory requirements, and best practices in medical imaging.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage budgets, improve processes, and drive operational efficiency.
