What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Practice Management position at AHS Vista LLC?
This position provides the overall strategic and operational activities within multi-site physician practices. The Director will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and ability to analyze profit and loss statements, accounts receivable, manage staff, work closely with the CEO and other leaders in strategic operational improvement, customer service, implementing organizational change, and recruiting and retaining physicians to Vista Physician Group.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, terminate, counsel, and conduct performance evaluations and corrective action plans for staff as needed in cooperation with Manager of Practice Management.
- Be proficient in Athena EHR or similar electronic health records platforms.
- Review physician and insurance contracts.
- Lead in strategic planning for operational improvement of clinics.
- Recruit physicians for the practice.
- Seek ways to improve customer service.
- Analyze and develop policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations for performance improvement within physician office practices.
- Ensure safety of the environment for patients, physician, staff and ensure compliance with all OSHA, Fire/Safety, JCAHO, CLIA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in monthly Physician group meetings and regular meetings with CEO and Chief Financial Officer.
- Ensure payer credentialing is completed for each provider in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure that credentials files for initial appointments are complete.
- Maintain current license and malpractice insurance certificates in credentials files.
- Assist in building physician schedules in Athena billing/scheduling system.
Requirements:
- Master's degree Healthcare .
- Clinical Operations experience.
- Physician recruitment experience.
- Experience with contracting.
