Job Summary:
Vista Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician to join our dynamic team. The IR Technician will assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures using fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound imaging. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist interventional radiologists in performing procedures, ensuring optimal imaging quality.
- Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures, following safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain fluoroscopy, CT, and other imaging equipment.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and assist with procedural instrument setup.
- Administer contrast media as directed and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to provide seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) or (CI) certification preferred.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and radiation safety principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
