What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at AHS?
We are currently hiring full-time and part-time Medical Assistants to join our team of healthcare professionals! We are a local healthcare company providing outpatient substance abuse treatment to the Albuquerque community. Front office position available, without need for MA certification.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Front office work: including answering phone calls, checking patients in, receiving payments, scheduling appointments.
- Back office work: including blood draws, injections, vital signs, and history taking
– Early morning hours (5:30 am – 1:30 pm) M-F
– EHR / Computer skills
– Strong charting skills and medical terminology
– Onsite training and ongoing education on substance abuse services offered, such as Narcan training / education classes.
