Job Title: Security Officer
Description:
As a Security Officer at Ahtna Professional Services, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to emergencies and incidents in a timely and effective manner
* Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and address potential security risks
* Monitor and control access to the property
* Maintain accurate records and reports of incidents and security activities
Requirements:
* 1 year of armed security, military police, or law enforcement experience
* Associates degree in Criminal Justice or similar field
* State Guard Card and driver's license required
* Basic computer operating skills and excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience with the M4/Remington 870 and .40 caliber platforms
* Shareholder preference for Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses
Work Environment:
* The position may require extensive sitting, watching monitors, walking around the facility, and kneeling and stooping to look under or inside vehicles or containers
* Work Schedule: Generally Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; may work shifts depending on size of contract and number of staff managed
