Service Department Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Service Department Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our dealership's service department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maximizing return on investment by optimizing service department processes.

In this role, you will develop and execute effective service department marketing plans to achieve departmental goals. You will also monitor service department metrics monthly to ensure achievement of department goals.

You will work closely with our sales and service teams to coordinate customer clinics, field days, and related promotional events. Additionally, you will schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees in the service department according to their skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Develops and executes service department marketing plans and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals.
• Monitors service department metrics monthly to ensure achievement of department goals.
• Coordinates customer clinics, field days, and related promotional events.
• Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the service department according to their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in service department operations.
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
• Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
