Service Technician - Sprayer (Experienced)

Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer agricultural equipment, with a focus in Commercial Application Equipment repair. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or ASP Complete Goods Rep.

Responsibilities:

• Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Ag
• Management Solutions (AMS) products, with a focus in Commercial Application Equipment
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
• May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
• Maintains the condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
• May perform pre-delivery set-up and inspection on new equipment
• Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 3 years of experience performing service repairs with a focus in Commercial Application Equipment
• John Deere Master Service Technician preferred
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license required

Pay Range: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour. Eligible for Technician Performance program in addition to hourly rate.
