Role Description
Resident Engineer (PE) – Substation Projects | Bronx, NY (Mott Haven)
We are seeking a Resident Engineer (RE) to join our growing team for a key infrastructure project in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. This is a high-visibility role ideal for a proven leader with strong technical expertise and stakeholder coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the on-site RE for railroad and transit-related infrastructure projects, with a focus on substation upgrades and replacements.
• Oversee field operations, ensure quality control, and verify contractor compliance with contract documents.
• Act as the primary liaison between the contractor, client, design teams, and multiple stakeholders.
• Provide leadership to office engineer, field inspectors, and technical staff.
• Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and issue resolution.
Requirements:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license – Required.
• Strong building systems experience – Required.
• Prior railroad and/or transit experience – Preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholders.
• Based in or willing to work daily in the Bronx (Mott Haven area).

• Candidates based in Westchester or Southern Connecticut are highly encouraged to apply, as we are also building a pipeline for upcoming railroad substation programs in CT.
