Bridge Inspection, Evaluation, Analysis, and Design is the core expertise of the firm, earning a national reputation for serving DOT’s / bridge owners on major projects in over 20 states throughout the U.S. Since 2016, the company has embarked on the adaptation of New Technology in inspecting, evaluating, and designing bridges. This includes Drone Inspections, laser scanning and point-cloud mapping of large, complex structures, and the procurement and installation of sophisticated wireless (5G) bridge movement and monitoring devices. Job Description: Senior Civil CADD Drafter

Our Middletown, CT office is currently seeking a Senior Civil CADD Drafter to support ongoing and new bridge, transportation, and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors, Associates degree and/or completion and CADD certification from a technical trade school. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Knowledge and training using AutoCAD Civil 3D. MicroStation, OpenRoads and OpenRoads Bridge Modeler/Open Bridge is a plus.
• Support the development of standards, templates, libraries, optimizations, and processes.
• Strong interest in all phases of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

• Provide drafting and design services using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads.
• Prepare designs from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics.
• Prepare working drawings for conceptual plan, final engineering documents and construction record drawings.
• Coordinate with other team members including engineers, managers, administrative staff, and construction staff.
• Review design drawings to ensure adherence to established CADD standards.
