This includes Drone Inspections, laser scanning and point-cloud mapping of large, complex structures, and the procurement and installation of sophisticated wireless (5G) bridge movement and monitoring devices. Job Description: Structural Engineer - Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Lead
Our Boston, MA office is seeking a structural/civil engineer with 0-3 years’ co-op work experience to assist with performing National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) bridge inspections, sign structure inspections, and structural load ratings of highway bridges. We provide on the job training/mentorship and assistance with receiving relevant certifications. This is a growth role with both technical and leadership pathways.
Responsibilities
- Perform bridge, sign structure, and tunnel inspections
- Interact with teams and customers to complete inspections
- Prepare inspection reports
- Support Design and Load Rating
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in or understanding of construction inspection (Concrete and Steel)
- Ability to work at heights, depths, and in inclement weather
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent compensation/benefits and flexible work environment.
Salary for this role is based on experience and may range from $75K to $95K, includes 5 -10 hours of OT 1-2 weeks a month 9 months a year, and includes a 401K Match and an employee stock ownership program
