About This Opportunity:
AI Engineers, Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to fill a Railroad Construction Inspector role for Metro-North's station renovation project in Naugatuck, CT.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure construction sites meet project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards through regular inspections.
- Oversee construction activities, including track work, structural enhancements, and ADA compliance updates.
- Review contractor performance, prepare daily reports, and document construction progress.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and transit officials.
- Evaluate work quality and conformity to Metro-North standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in railroad station platform reconstruction, preferably with Metro-North or similar commuter rail projects.
- Sound knowledge of railroad construction practices, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Awareness of MTA, Metro-North, or other transit agency standards.
- Able to work in a field environment, conduct site inspections, and ensure construction compliance.
- Outstanding communication and documentation skills.
- Pertinent certifications in railroad construction inspection (desired).
