Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in modern data engineering and architecture, preferably within the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures using Databricks Lakehouse and other cutting-edge technologies. You will work closely with stakeholders, mentor a team of data engineers, and drive system optimization for real-time analytics and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture & Pipeline Design:
Design and implement scalable data models and integration pipelines using Databricks Lakehouse architecture, enabling real-time analytics and seamless integration of complex data sources specific to the insurance industry.
- System Performance Optimization:
Proactively identify and resolve data processing bottlenecks. Apply advanced optimization strategies to improve system speed, scalability, and efficiency while minimizing resource consumption.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align data architecture strategies with organizational goals, ensuring robust support for data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring:
Guide and mentor data engineering team members. Promote best practices in data modeling, pipeline design, system optimization, and architectural governance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture and design, preferably in the insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL development, data governance, and scalable infrastructure design.
- Experience with Databricks, including Lakehouse architecture, data pipeline design, performance tuning, and ML/AI integration.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for advanced data manipulation and backend scripting.
- Solid understanding of data security, quality standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Git repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
