Education: Bachelor of Accounting
Months/Years of Experience: Eight (8) years minimum
Required Qualifications: Experienced performing all aspects of accounting in Deltek Costpoint for a DoD contractor. Proficient in month/year-end close, audits, and general ledger functions. Expertise in GAAP, tax laws, FAR clauses, DFAR, DCAA practices, and accounting for various types of contracts (FFP, T&M, CPFF, etc.). Experienced in pricing strategies and DoD cost proposals.
Desired Qualifications: Attention to detail and critical thinking. Detailed experience in CAS accounting. Experience in Price to Win development and assessment. Excellent written and verbal skills.
Skills Needed: Deltek Costpoint, working knowledge of accounting, Microsoft Excel and Word, ERI.
Duties: :Analyze accounting processes, transactions and account reconciliations during the month-end and year end accounting close cycle. Assist in the preparation of ICE to DCAA. Support proposal development to include developing the cost / price submissions and participating in the bid strategy and proposal meetings. Provide financial support to the Program Managers. Review and enhance company policy and business processes to ensure responsive and comprehensive support for all contracts and customers. Ensure adherence to contract requirements and review adequacy of company policies. A normal day will consist of working with the existing accounting staff to ensure accurate payrolls, Invoicing, A/P and cash management. Preparing reports to assist program managers to make financial decisions. Collaborating with Business Development with pricing proposals. Assisting the CFO with financial information.
