Countertop Installer (135 - Syracuse, IN)

This position is responsible for transporting our finished products safely to customer sites and installing them as efficiently as possible, according to project plans. This position works closely with other Installation Technicians to ensure customer needs are met in a quality and timely fashion. While on our job sites, this position represents AIA Countertops, and individuals must conduct business with integrity and the highest degree of professionalism. Must have a minimum of 3 years of installation experience in order to be considered for this position.

AIA Countertops, a Division of Patrick Industries, Inc., is a fabricator of solid surface, granite and quartz countertops, backsplashes, tables, and other products to the Residential, Commercial, RV, and Marine industries.

Essential Functions:

· Unload/move stone from the truck into job site with the assistance of others

· Cut and polish stone

· Drive company vehicle, as needed, in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all local, state, and federal traffic laws

· Complete customer installations as timely and efficiently as possible, according to project plans

· Ensure installation vehicles have the proper tools and job site products stocked for the daily project needs

· Ensure effective and high quality customer service, utilizing a professional and friendly demeanor when communicating with customers and team members

· Treat team members with integrity and professionalism

· Act in a lead function for other team members

Qualifications:

· H.S. Diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 3 years of installation experience

· Excellent customer service skills

· Valid Driver’s License

· Construction experience

· Clean background

· Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

Skills:

· Detail Oriented - quality and precision focus

· Excellent customer service skills

· Skilled at reading a tape measure and use of hand tools

· Finished carpentry skills ideal

· Flexible and adaptable; work in a fast paced environment

· Good organizational and planning skills

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in customer job sites, both residential and commercial, with regular outdoor exposure. Driving is required.

Physical Demands:

· Requires prolonged sitting and standing

· Requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching

· Requires heavy lifting, up to 250 pounds with assistance

· Requires dexterity, eye, and hand coordination to operate tools and materials
