This position will be working for the Allegheny Casualty line of business located in the Bernardsville, New Jersey office.
Job Responsibilities
· Process bond reinstatements, renewals, riders, and cancellations
· Review and audit Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) bond submissions
o Review bond documents to ensure the submission is complete
o Audit documents to ensure there are no discrepancies or inconsistencies
o Audit/verify the authenticity of IDs provided
o Conduct background business searches on new brokers
o Upon receipt of all required documents, submit Freight Broker Bond (BMC-84) filings via the FMCSA filing
system and assist with the BMC-84, freight broker bonds submissions
o Ensure all bond documents are uploaded to our bond database
o Ensure all files are maintained on the Company’s server
· Process Freight Broker Bond cancellations (BMC-36) via the FMCSA filing system upon request
· Process bond renewals upon request
· Conduct routine audits of bond files as needed
· Run Ad hoc reports as needed
Qualifications
Education Requirement(s)
· AA/AS degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience Requirement(s)
· One to three years previous experience servicing clients/customers
· Experience handling multiple accounts/clients/customers
· Surety or Insurance experience preferred

· Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) system

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication and strong attention to detail
· Must be fluent in English
· Will use internal databases (i.e. Accolade)
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
· Stand/Sit – Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
· Walk – Needs to maneuver within assigned work location
· Use hands/fingers to handle/feel – Constantly operates a computer, phone system and other office productivity machinery
· Climb (stairs/ladders) – Occasionally ascends/descends stairs to enter NJ facility (when applicable)
· Stoop/Kneel/Crouch – Occasionally positions self to reach files
· Talk/Hear – Frequently communicates with agents/customers and home office; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
· See/Vision – Constantly inspect mail, paperwork and documents
· Lift – Occasionally lift items up to 25 lbs
