What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Clerk3rd shift position at Aichi Forge USA?
Checks parts listing for proper part identification; Verifies using equipment documentation: contacts vendors to obtain price bids; prepares parts requisitions; obtains purchase order numbers from Purchasing Department.
Receives shipments from vendors, checking vendor packing slips/invoices for accuracy and insuring quantities received are as stated; confers with suppliers regarding late deliveries; maintains appropriate records. Directly issues parts received to open work orders or places parts in proper location within the parts storage areas.
Enters receipt and distribution of parts/supplies into computer to update inventory records.
Compiles all parts for all AFU equipment into a database.
Becomes proficient with MS Office, PLEX, and and future Maintenance Management software systems. Clerk will become the system administrator for all aspects of the Maintenance parts system.
Issues replacement parts to Team Members; assists Team Members in choice of parts.
Assembles and fills orders as requested. Issues parts to open computer work orders as parts are distributed to Team Members.
Conducts periodic physical inventory to assure proper availability of required stock; replenishes stock as shipments arrive.
Assigns kanbans to all inventory parts for tracking usage.
Enters and maintains records for time usage, equipment history, and other data. Generates reports as needed.
Complies with all regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials. Obtains Material Safety Data Sheets as required from vendors.
Must understand and follow all safety rules.
Uses a variety of materials and inventory operations equipment; such as, forklifts, hand trucks, push carts, pallet jacks, computers, hand-held radios,t etc.
Assists Manager with other administrative and clerical duties as needed.
