What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor position at AID Tire and Auto Repair?
AID Tire and Auto Repair is searching for a experienced Service Advisor to Join our team!
A Service Advisor manages all customer relations and serves as the liaison for our customers and the technicians.
This individual is responsible for displaying excellent customer service skills from the start to exceed our customers expectations.
Duties:
- In- person or on the phone contact with customers to discuss their needs
- Create repair estimates and time needed for repairs (including part prices labor costs)
- Order parts needed, online or via phone
- Price tires
- Answer all phone calls as they come in
- Communicating the needs of customers to the service technicians
- Prepare work orders after checking vehicle in, complete the booking on RO and contacting the customer when finished for pickup.
- Communication of information regarding parts, Work Orders, costs, time, etc. throughout the day
- Communicating Work Order statuses to customers and answering any questions customers may have
- Tracking repairs and problem causes
- Processing Customers payments at time of the pickup
- Obtain needed information from extended warranties for pre authorizations and or payment on repairs.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience 1 year as Service Advisor or similar role
- Computer literacy and an understanding of industry software
- Basic understanding and knowledge of auto mechanics.
- People skills including conflict resolution, problem-solving, and listening
- Team Player who works well with their coworkers
