RISE is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1980 as Aid To The Developmentally Disabled (ADD) by family members who were concerned about the physical and emotional decline of patients compelled to live in crowded institutions. These family members believed that appropriate treatment and training in a warm, sheltered, homelike environment would enhance their physical and emotional growth. With the support, funding and licensing of New York State’s Office of People with Developmental Delays (OPWDD) and the Office of Mental Health (OMH), Rise Life Services came to life.
We are seeking energetic Direct Support Professionals to work in our residential group homes. Direct Support Professionals work as part of a comprehensive treatment team. The goal of the the team is to support our individuals in becoming as independent as possible . Typical responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional center around counseling, caregiving , crisis intervention , skill training and assistance with daily care . We are currently offering a $3500 dollar sign on bonus and offer very competitive salaries and benefits.
There are Full-Time, Part-Time, Overnights, Weekends Only, and On-Call Direct Support Professional positions available. We service the east end of Long Island in the following locations: Riverhead, Cutchogue, Flanders, Wading River, Shirley/Riverhead, Greenport, Ridge, Calverton, Jamesport and Middle Island.
