What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse (LPN) position at AID Upstate?
With over 35 years of service, AID Upstate is the only provider of comprehensive HIV care, prevention, and supportive services in our area, servicing Greenville, Anderson, Pickens and Oconee Counties. We provide support for the whole person, including HIV specialty and primary care, medical case management, referrals/payment for medical care, health insurance premiums and copayment costs, and resources to meet everyday needs of those living with HIV such as our food pantry, transportation, pharmaceutical assistance, mental health initiatives, and much more.
Our medical clinic offers the unique opportunity for our clients to receive both primary and HIV specialty care from one practice. We also partner with a third-party, on-site pharmacy and have in-house lab facilities to make our care model as comprehensive and “in-house” as possible.
We are currently seeking a full-time Nurse (LPN) to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our clients, ensuring they receive the care and support they need.
Here is some of what you can expect in this role:
- With compassion and utmost discretion, you will assist our providers with providing routine medical care in a clinical setting.
- You will assist in all areas of patient care, from the initial check-in to appropriate follow ups.
- You will be able to take pride in your workplace as you keep a clean and orderly clinic and maintain adequate supplies.
- You will document patient encounters into our EMR (we currently use Epic) and all appropriate follow ups and needed documentation.
- You will adhere to all AID Upstate policies and procedures as well as those of various governing federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and guidelines.
- You will abide by strict confidentiality requirements and comply with HIPAA on- and off-duty. This responsibility extends beyond your employment with AID Upstate.
And here is what you can expect from AID Upstate:
- Competitive salary with Monday-Friday, all daytime hours.
- A working environment that is entirely dedicated to serving our people as opposed to a fee-for-service model.
- $100 for month for health insurance. All other insurance (dental, life, accidental death and dismemberment, short-term, and long-term disability) are entirely covered by AID Upstate.
- 10 paid holidays and PTO starting at just over 4 weeks per year and increasing with tenure.
- The chance to work on a team that is diverse in thought, experience, and background.
If you are a compassionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of individuals with HIV, we would love to hear from you.
What you will need:
- South Carolina licensure as an LPN.
- AED Training and Bloodborne Pathogen basic knowledge (annual training refreshers are provided)
- Ability to work in both our Greenville and Anderson clinics (though you typically will have an assigned clinic and provider to work with)
At AID Upstate, we are committed to the core values of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) in every aspect of our mission, services, and organizational culture. Read our entire Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Policy Statement on our website.
