We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This position will focus on our After Market Services business working with customers to upgrade and retrofit their current installation base of equipment.
What you need for this position:
- Three to five years of experience in project management within a capital equipment environment.
- Proficient with CAD software and project management tools.
- Working knowledge of components used in the machine tool industry.
- Good trouble shooting and diagnostic problem solving skills.
- Excellent speaking, writing and listening communication skills.
- Leadership skills that help you effectively manage projects.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
What you'll be doing:
Managing press and automation equipment refurbishment projects.
- Participate in job planning and scheduling. Take full responsibility to assure projects/tasks assigned and undertaken meet goals for cost, schedule and product performance. Must be able to work and/or travel as necessary to meet project schedules and / or accomplish goals and objectives.
- Act as liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing/Assembly and outside vendors to ensure the manufacturability of all designed parts and assemblies.
- Investigate and help resolve engineering or design related problems that occur with parts and assemblies in the design and manufacturing phases.
- Conduct, assist and/or participate in design reviews for assigned projects.
- Identify and research our installation base to identify potential projects and future business development opportunities.
- Study and develop detailed costing estimates for active proposal requests.
