Sales Manager Job Description About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our local retail sales team and build a traveling canvassing team. This role is focused on driving revenue growth through strong leadership, strategic sales initiatives, and effective coaching. This role will require someone to live near Story City, Iowa (or be open to relocate) to run a local sales team once Storm Team is established.
Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to both local retail and traveling door-to-door teams to achieve company sales goals.
- Set and manage clear sales quotas, targets, and performance metrics for both teams.
- Lead, coach, and inspire both the local retail team and the traveling canvassing team, ensuring high performance, motivation, and alignment with company objectives.
- Manage a high-performing staff that meets or exceeds sales targets and KPIs. Specifically, oversee and guide a local retail sales team and manage a traveling door-to-door storm team in the region.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings for both teams and adjust strategies based on performance data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams & brands to ensure all efforts align with overall business needs.
- Sales Process Improvement:
- Continuously analyze sales data from both teams to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Implement new strategies to optimize the sales process, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance team success.
- Develop and refine sales tools and materials, ensuring that both teams are equipped with the necessary resources.

Team Management:
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that motivates both the local retail and traveling canvassing teams.
- Provide, on-the-job training, including in-field ride-alongs with team members, to ensure consistent adherence to sales processes.
- Regularly evaluate team members' progress, conduct quarterly business reviews, and provide feedback to maintain a high level of engagement and performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into CRM systems, maintaining transparent communication with team members.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to both teams.

Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, monitoring both team performance and individual progress towards targets.
- Weekly review of KPIs for both teams to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded for commission approval and performance updates.
- Analyze market trends, monitor storm activity, and understand competitive landscapes to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Other Tasks as Assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- 5 years of experience in sales management, with proven success in door-to-door canvassing and retail team management.
- Strong track record of exceeding sales targets and driving team performance.
- Expertise in managing door-to-door sales teams and coordinating traveling teams.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans for both local and traveling teams.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales software.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and solve problems.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a dynamic team.
