This includes managing drivers, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing routes, and maintaining the efficiency and safety of our fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of trucking regulations, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of our truck fleet.
- Driver Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage drivers, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and resolving any issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all trucking operations comply with federal and state regulations, including safety standards and documentation requirements.
- Route Planning: Plan and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the trucking budget, including fuel, maintenance, and labor costs.
- Customer Service: Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, and address any customer concerns related to trucking services.
- Technology Utilization: Use fleet management software and GPS systems to monitor and manage trucking operations.
- Safety and Training: Implement and enforce safety programs, conduct regular training, and maintain a safe working environment for drivers.
Qualifications:
