Part-time staff member at the Savannah River Site Museum for weekends and special events; minimum of 10 hours per week. The Savannah River Site Museum is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm; staff member will report on Friday (preferably) for a 3-hour shift and Saturday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, with additional hours as available.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position welcomes visitors to the Museum and engages the Museum’s weekend guests on overview of the Museum collections and exhibitions. There are supervisory duties related to the general operation of the Museum and public-oriented functions. This staff member will interact with museum staff, museum volunteers, and the general public.Must be able to meet and greet visitors to the Museum and to supervise the visitors’ conduct regarding stated rules of operation. Must be able to lift tables and chairs to accommodate facility rentals and usage. Other duties as assigned.
