Summary/Objective
Responsible for ensuring efficient broadband service delivery and customer satisfaction by optimizing scheduling and tracking processes.
Essential Functions

- Assign and track fiber drops and repairs, ensuring timely completion.
- Monitor lead times and work proactively to meet consumer/member expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies in the fiber drop and repair processes.
- Set port assignments in coordination with Carolina Connect.
- Perform basic fiber mapping functions to support network expansion and maintenance.
- Conduct basic staking to facilitate broadband service installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of assignments, progress, and completion of tasks.
- Communicate with internal departments, contractors, and consumers/members to provide updates on scheduling and service timelines.
- Assist with electric utility assignments as needed.

Work Environment
This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Works around trenchers, line trucks, live wires, oils spills and clean up, pole top rescue, etc.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Travel
Periodic travel to state and local destinations, as well as some interstate travel is required.
Required Education and Experience
- High school Diploma.
- Exceptional experience in Telecommunication and Broadband services.
- Knowledge of fiber network infrastructure, mapping and staking processes.
- Knowledge of broadband deployment and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in broadband scheduling and mapping.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Two-Year associate degree.
- Knowledge / experience of GIS software.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
