We have multiple locations seeking to fill multiple positions including Program Assistants, Program Instructors and Job Coaches focused on delivering the highest quality programming and personal care for each man and woman we serve.

To be successful in this environment having experience working with men and women with developmental disabilities is a plus but not essential.

Job Requirements:
- Applicants must be HS Graduate or possess a GED or equivalent.
- Proof of clearance through the Department of Justice and the FBI via Live Scan
- Possession of a current valid California driver's license and/or Class II B license and a driving record, which meets the standards of the agency.
- Proof of passing a pre-placement physical and back assessment
- Proof of negative TB test within the past twelve (12) months
AIM HIGHER is an Adult Day Program that uses a Fabulous Five Component Model to help the men and women we serve develop skills in areas of interest to them.
Program Assistants and Instructors work together in the delivery of curriculum in the Fabulous Five Components:
- Functional Education
- Life Skills
- Arts & Expression
- Community Access
- Vocational (Job Skills & Readiness)
In addition to curriculum delivery all team members must be able to provide hands on care, assistance and support to men and women who require more extensive support.
Areas of help include:
- hand over hand assistance with projects
- assistance with eating
- assistance with toileting
- assistance with mobility
- any other areas that ensure the highest quality of care for those we serve
Job Coach Responsibilities
Summary of Job Duties:
- Assist individuals in all aspects of employment development to include filling out applications, dressing appropriately for interviews, resume preparation, and other duties as needed.
- Assists and supports individuals at work sites and provides on the job training and skills instruction.
- Responsible for completing all required paperwork accurately and by scheduled due dates. Examples: Case notes, progress reports, job coach reports, assessments, documentation, Special Incident Reports, financial/medical logs, APS reports, etc.
- Teach and support individuals in the Competitive Integrated Employment and Paid Internship Programs at employment, volunteer, and post-secondary education sites.
- Acts as a liaison for the client, their direct supervisor, and the community.
- Provides skills training (i.e., attendance, hygiene, job functions, money management, community appropriateness, grocery shopping, etc.)
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma and some college education preferred.
- Experience in Sales or Business Development preferred.
- Possess a valid CA Driver’s License, automobile liability insurance, and a clear DMV record.
- One year of professional experience in social work or a related field (preferably in the field of developmental disabilities) is preferred.
- 2 years of supervisory (supervising staff) is preferred.
Schedule and Shift varies based on position.
