AIM House helps young people foster personal responsibility and fulfillment as they transition into adulthood. Our structured living environment and individualized programs are designed for the young adult who is transitioning from residential treatment centers, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, wilderness programs, and therapeutic boarding schools.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Requirements:
A commitment to making AIM House a great program by consistently following through on assigned responsibilities and by making the needs of the participants and the program the primary focus while on shift. Modeling integral and responsible behavior.
A commitment to understand and consistently follow and enforce all programmatic procedures and rules.
Strong organizational skills which will allow for consistency in managing time and multiple responsibilities and details in an environment with multiple interruptions and distractions.
Willingness and ability to be open, honest, and respectful when communicating with participants and other staff.
Ability to accept honest feedback from participants and other staff and not personalize the feedback.
Willingness and ability to move into uncomfortable situations in service of the participants and other staff.
Maintain a strong awareness of the details and dynamics with each participant and within the house throughout each shift, and take steps to positively impact each participant and the larger community.
Ability to motivate participants and create positive behavioral shifts through your communication and interactions.
Consistently and effectively communicating and collaborating (through meetings, BestNotes, and logs) with the other members of the AIM House Team.
Ability and willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for people who have varied life experiences, a developed sense of self- awareness, and a strong desire to learn and grow. Openness to giving and receiving honest feedback and a desire to intentionally engage in personal and professional goal setting and accountability are also important. Having the ability to effectively manage a variety of relationships AND manage details and multiple tasks is critical. Must have a clean driving record. Experience with addiction and recovery, and/or coaching, mentoring, and/or teaching also helpful. Flexible schedule with the ability to work set but varied shifts (days, evenings, overnights) is required.
