Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour to start
Shift: Monday - Friday (frequent Saturdays) 7am - 3:30pm p.m. Mandatory weekends
Monday - Friday (frequent Saturdays) 11am - 7:30pm p.m. Mandatory weekends
Scope of Position:
Material Handler, loading and unloading of freight and goods…breaking down of pallets, building of pallets and inventory order.
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 40 pounds or more, physically able to work this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Moves materials off trucks, pallets or racks and prepares orders for shipment while sorting and segregating materials onto correct pallets or other locations based on item number.
- Place labels on boxes or pallets as instructed in the process
- Wrap pallets with stretch wrap and other packaging supplies
- Put away product in designated warehouse locations
- Identify damage, loss, or surplus of materials and communicate issues
- Utilizes RF (Radio Frequency) equipment to track product
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, push and pull and withstand temperatures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Keep clean and safe work environment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations, including safety.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of relevant warehouse and distribution experience preferred
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- BG check and DS required
