Job Summary
The Comhab position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs. This role involves working closely with clients to enhance their daily living skills, promote independence, and facilitate community engagement. The Comhab will play a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive environment, ensuring that each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home and community environments.
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household tasks.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans that align with clients’ goals and preferences.
• Facilitate social interactions and community involvement by organizing outings and activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents that occur during service delivery.
• Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Uphold the dignity and respect of each client while promoting their independence and self-advocacy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed in their daily lives.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of clients; availability for evenings or weekends may be required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job location and responsibilities.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• After school
• Day shift
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Saratoga Springs, NY 12866: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
