MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary :
West Ridge Mall is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the mall’s facilities, equipment, and common areas remain in excellent condition. This role is essential to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping experience for our tenants, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Inspect and maintain lighting, doors, escalators, elevators, and signage.Handle basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.Facility Upkeep :Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of all common areas, including restrooms, hallways, parking lots, and entrances.
Conduct daily inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and pest control as needed.Safety and Compliance :Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Conduct routine safety checks on fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency systems.Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.Tenant Support :Assist tenants with maintenance-related concerns in their leased spaces.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects.Special Projects :Assist with seasonal and promotional setups (e.g., holiday decorations, special events).
Participate in renovation and remodeling projects as needed.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification is a plus.Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a commercial or retail setting.Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair skills.Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.Must be available for on-call duties, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Work Environment :
This position involves working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.The Maintenance Technician must be comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.Benefits :
