Job Summary
The Power Generation Operations Manager is responsible for managing power generation operations within an assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR). This role includes overseeing a team of personnel who maintain all aspects of power generator operations, including troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance. The manager must ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety and quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of personnel responsible for power generator operations.
- Ensure all aspects of power generator operation, including troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance, are performed efficiently.
- Execute assigned scope of work in compliance with contract requirements, safety and quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates.
- Plan and coordinate supervision, personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules and adhere to budget constraints.
- Ensure proper utilization of electronic work order systems, equipment service and maintenance data, and related documentation requirements.
- Communicate project status, issues, and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate.
- Step in to perform the duties of subordinate personnel as required.
- Establish and maintain a safety culture on the project, ensuring that all personnel adhere to company safety requirements at all times.
- Ensure subordinates are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures, and that work is performed in conformance with specified quality requirements.
- As directed by management, supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the "General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities" addendum.
- Provide preventive maintenance and repair services by establishing monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual schedules for all prime power, diesel, gas generators, and light carts.
- Maintain meticulous generator maintenance logs and material for required preventive maintenance and to provide continuity between rotations of military personnel.
- Service Automatic transfer panels semi-annually and repair as needed.
