What are the responsibilities and job description for the DoubleTree Boston North Shore - Waterpark Manager position at Aimbridge Hospitality?
The Waterpark Manager is responsible for assisting with the management if the Water Park operation (may also include Water Sports), revenue generation, and expense management. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.
Exempt managers must customarily and regular direct the work of at least 3 full-time associates or their equivalents. Primary duties must consist of administrative, executive, or professional tasks more than 50 percent of the time and job duties must also involve the use of discretion and independent judgement more than 50 percent of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; College degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supervising employees.
- Possess Current American Red Cross Certification: Lifeguard & First Aid.
- Current American Red Cross Certification: CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- Current American Red Cross Certification: AED and Oxygen Administration.
- Must be able to create and maintain documents with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Must be able to use Outlook effectively.
- Responsible for leading the management team in their areas of focus as needed.
- Encourages advancement for those Team Members qualified and interested in career development.
- Works to maintain an efficient, cooperative atmosphere among Team Members.
- Develops, implements, and monitors schedules for Water Park operation.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and maintaining Team Members for the department. Interfaces with the Human Resources department to communicate staffing needs and assist in the hiring process utilizing HR procedures.
- Anticipates turnover to maintain proper staffing levels.
- Creates and initiates any Team Member incentive programs to help increase Team Member morale.
- Clearly describes and assigns responsibility and authority for the operation of the department.
- Has working knowledge of emergency procedures. Administers and coordinates emergency first aid as necessary, as well as the documentation of incidents involving guests and Team Members.
- Maintains a working knowledge of general and departmental safety procedures.
- Uses and reinforces safe chemical handling in addition to following and adhering to SDS practices and procedures as outlined by GWR standards, OSHA, EPA, Green Seal, and Federal, State, and Local laws.
- Follows, reinforces and trains Team Members in procedures concerning protection against bloodborne pathogens.
- Enforces rules and regulations and renders appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary. - Exhibits the ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of who will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.
