This role also involves working with financial information and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Key Skills/Responsibilities
- Culinary Expertise: Supervise the preparation of food items, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation across all dining outlets.
- Leadership and Supervision: Lead and assist kitchen staff, utilizing previous supervisory experience to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Problem Solving and Initiative: Anticipate needs, evaluate alternatives and solve problems efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- Communication Skills: Clearly convey information and ideas and effectively listen to and understand issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Financial Acumen: Work with financial information and basic arithmetic functions to support kitchen operations.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- At least 7 years of related progressive experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
- Food Handlers Certification as required by state regulations.
