We are looking to fill the following position and shifts:
*Must be able to work a combination of shifts which may include 6AM-6PM, 2PM-12AM AND 4PM-12AM
*Support Staff:
*PLUS, FULL BENEFIT OPTIONS
**Must have a valid drivers license and own vehicle that is available during shift.**
Duties and Responsibilities: (This is not an extensive list of duties)
·Assist individuals with their personal care needs (ADLS) as necessary to maintain hygiene.
·Assist/teach individuals with all household chores, groceries, and planning and preparing meals.
·Assist individuals in all tasks, training, and community integration activities.
·Assist/teach individuals to utilize the public transportation system.
·Assist in all medical/dental appointments, including transportation.
·Implement the individuals’ objectives and behavior plans specified in the IPP/ISP;
·Maintain a clear focus toward developing consumer’s independence and positive self-esteem;
·Follow through with all planned activities, and create schedules with individuals;
·Report all incidents, behaviors and infractions immediately to the Lead Staff including incidents of possible abuse or neglect;
·Present self appropriately and as a role model for individuals at home and in the community;
·Document daily charting notes;
·Write quarterly progress notes;
·Ensure timecard is complete, accurate, and turned in on-time;
·Attend mandatory monthly in-service meetings; and
·Responsible for safeguarding all individual’s information in his/her possession. Inside/outside individual’s residence and off duty.
Minimum Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or equivalent;
·Valid CPR and First Aid cards;
·Valid California Drivers’ License, Vehicle that can be used during the course of your shift and valid vehicle insurance;
·Go through and pass a background check, fingerprints and a criminal records check;
·Excellent overall people skills;
·Evidence of a negative TB test within the last year; and
·Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Special Skills Needed:
- Ability to read and write and speak comprehendible English;
- Good understanding of the special needs of the developmentally disabled;
- Must be patient and have a capacity to work with very difficult behaviors;
- Good overall people skills; and
- Communication skills, ability to listen attentively and communicate clearly.
Salary : $16 - $18
