Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist Individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff promptly.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in training sessions related to caregiving techniques, CPR certification, and safety protocols.
- Engage in memory care activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety standards.
Skills
- Experience in memory care or home health settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of caregiving practices for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to perform basic cooking tasks for patient meals while adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and understanding basic medical terminology.
- Certification in CPR is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and home community care practices is beneficial.
