Supportive Living Staff

Job Overview
The Support Staff plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in the residential setting. This position involves assisting individual with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and working closely individuals to deliver high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care, home health, or assisted living environments and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those with developmental disabilities.

*Must have a vehicle for some transportation of individuals*

*Must have a valid Driver License and Vehicle Insurance.*

Responsibilities

• Assist Individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in training sessions related to caregiving techniques, CPR certification, and safety protocols.
• Engage in memory care activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety standards.

Skills

• Experience in memory care or home health settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of caregiving practices for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to perform basic cooking tasks for patient meals while adhering to dietary restrictions.
• Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and understanding basic medical terminology.
• Certification in CPR is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Familiarity with assisted living environments and home community care practices is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
